Although Bulls blood beetroot is primarily grown as an ornamental plant for its dark red leaves, it is now mildly used in baby leaf salads. The larger leaves can be as an alternative to Spinach. It provides deep red, almost crimson colour leaves with a sweet taste to add to any salad. The colour intensifies as the plant matures. The roots are a deep red colour and tender. The plant grows to 15cm tall and 10cm wide.
